OUR WAY
Meaningful relationships with children and their families are fundamental to our philosophy. We value a nurturing, healthy environment for the wellbeing of all. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity.

No two days are the same at  Craigslea Kindergargten
A new teaching team will be selected to curate the day’s learnings to the interests and ever-changing needs of the children. After drop-off, we begin the day with a group circle. Following this, children are free to play inside or outside as they choose.

The spacious indoor environment is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. Carefully selected materials engage a range of abilities and interests so children can express their ideas. We have areas for pretend play, visual arts, literature, music, and science.

Our unique outdoor space overlooks Frederick Annand Park and offers children a peaceful environment to explore and connect to nature. We have an expansive real lawn with a large sandpit, rainforest, areas for water play and climbing frames and swings.

Community Connections
We see the broader community as an important part of our kindergarten. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and discuss this with children as part of the curriculum. They develop a strong and confident social and cultural identity when they connect with their community and country.
C&K Craigslea Kindergarten respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane), on which our service is located. We pay our respect to all Turrbal Elders – past, present and future.
Helping those in need
We are committed to being a part of our global community and helping those less fortunate.
Locally, we have assisted ‘Rosies – Friends on the Street’ who provide unconditional acceptance and friendship to people who are marginalised within our community, especially those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or simply lonely.
Further afield, we have made donations to the ‘Loreto Foundation’ in Vietnam and the ‘New Hope For Children Foundation’ in Cambodia. We have also sponsored a child through ‘World Vision’.
